It was while working on a concept for a hotel in Marrakech that the designer had the idea for this model, inspired by the traditional Moroccan footstool. The hotel was not completed, but we were captivated by the oriental charm of this piece, filled with ''zenitude'', comfort and wellbeing. Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, through his work with quilting and color, brought the creative 'added value' which has rooted this model in modernity.

The Cité armchair is an early masterpiece by the French designer and engineer Jean Prouvé. Originally designed to furnish the student residence halls at the Cité Universitaire in Nancy, Prouvé also used this comfortable, expansive armchair with powder-coated steel runners and leather belt armrests in the living room of his own home.

Offering perfect comfort, the Pukka collection is a little marvel of design, which finds its roots in the great C&B period when Gaetano Pesce presented his UP50 collection in 1969. The latter had created a collection which paid homage to the sponge, affirming that he had been fascinated by a sponge in his shower and the way in which it always sprang back into its original shape. Yabu & Pushelberg thus take up this theme, adding a feminine design, soft and organic, which fills the space with sensual comfort. The detail of the stitching, the use of ultra-flexible foams and the tension of its lines obliged us to strive for a perfect piece of upholstery. This was only possible with the use of our very stretchiest fabrics: the new Gentle fabric, in particular, which is a 100 % wool stretch velvet, clothes it perfectly.

Timb is the fundamental essence of a chair whose clean and humble design emerges from its function. The name Timb is an expression of the chair’s simple vision for the value of its material. The Timb chair has a simple wooden structure with a richness of detail in the contrast between its curves and sharp lines. Its artisan traditions are also visible in its elegant dowel joints, which make it possible to manufacture the chair without the need for screws, allowing the wood itself to act as focal point. The chair comprises a frame of solid ash and a wide, comfortable seat and backrest made from ash veneer. 

Bold is made using a combination of mechanical and hand-spun yarns resulting in a thick, warm and expressive rug. Bulky and irregular in character, it is the epitome of tactility, a quality that Hella believes to be ‘the most important and best known characteristic of a rug’. Bold is woven by skilled weavers from India using yarn that has been dyed after it is twisted. This produces an interesting effect as the dye does not penetrate completely to the yarn’s core.With its sober colouring and simple but distinctive asymmetric design, Bold can make a statement in a space helping to structure it and aid in the placement of furniture.

The Outline Sofa adds new perspectives to the classic Scandinavian design sofas of the 1960's, marrying the ideals of simplicity and function into one. With the design taking its name from its strong outline of a sofa, the Outline Series is clean and elegant on the outside with a deep seat and soft cushioning on its inside. The Outline Series has an expression that is at once elegant yet timeless, elevated by its lines referencing architectural shapes alongside its curved armrests.

The Perron Pillo Sofa by Willo Perron translates the designer’s distinct perspective to an unexpected form—seemingly, a stack of oversized pillows—that offers unforgettable comfort.

HIRAY takes metal, one of the most important materials for the greening of the Kartell catalogue, and uses the welded wire process to shape it. The result is an essential and functional product that is nevertheless rich in emotion. Metal wires form well-defined yet lightweight structural parts of the collection’s chair, chair with arms, bistro table, armchair, divan and side table.

The comfort of an embrace: the K-WAITING upholstered collection by Rodolfo Dordoni plays with the contrast between the formal simplicity of rigorous volumes and soft, rounded lines. The division between habitat and contract solutions is increasingly blurred in this collection too. The keyword is versatility. The wide range of delightful upholstery includes warm velvety fabrics, bouclé and other fabrics that, though plainer, always stand out for their striking weave.
